ASCO Expands CO₂ Recovery Solutions into the U.S. Market
To date, ASCO’s CO₂ recovery plants have been supplied to customers in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. With the expansion into the U.S. market, the company is responding to growing demand for technologies that enable efficient CO₂ utilization, improved supply security, and greater sustainability in industrial applications.
The Orange Park site has been active in the North American market for several years, distributing dry ice technology including dry ice production machines, dry ice blasting systems, and CO₂ equipment for a wide range of industrial applications. The introduction of CO₂ recovery plants represents a targeted expansion of the existing product portfolio.
ASCO’s CO₂ recovery portfolio includes stack gas recovery plants (SGR), by‑product recovery plants (BPR), and recovery systems for dry ice production (RRSi). These systems enable the recovery, purification, and reuse of CO₂ from existing processes, supporting more efficient resource utilization.
Stack gas recovery plants (SGR) are designed to capture CO₂ from flue gases generated by boilers, generators, or industrial combustion processes. By‑product recovery plants (BPR) are used in applications where CO₂ is generated as a high‑purity by‑product, such as in the food and beverage, fermentation, or chemical industries. In addition, RRSi systems allow CO₂ to be recovered from dry ice production processes, further enhancing overall efficiency.
ASCO provides solutions across the entire CO₂ value chain. Its portfolio includes technologies for CO₂ recovery, processing, liquefaction, and storage, as well as application-specific equipment. The aim is to support more decentralized and independent CO₂ supply concepts. In addition, ASCO supports customers in transferring recovered CO₂ into marketable applications. The company collaborates with suitable partners to enable the use and integration of CO₂ across different industries.
“The expansion of our portfolio into the U.S. market is a logical step in ASCO’s international development,” says Ralph Spring, CEO of ASCO Carbondioxide Ltd. “With our established presence in Orange Park, we already have a strong local organization and close proximity to the market. This provides a solid foundation for making our CO₂ recovery technologies available in North America and supporting customers in the sustainable use of carbon dioxide.”
Going forward, the U.S. location will be responsible for sales, project execution, and technical service of CO₂ recovery plants in the United States. This approach ensures close customer support and application‑specific system design.
With its entry into the U.S. market, ASCO Carbondioxide Ltd. further strengthens its position as a provider of comprehensive solutions across the CO₂ value chain – from recovery and processing to the effective use of carbon dioxide.
