ASCO is developing an active dry ice saw for series production

The Swiss company ASCO KOHLENSÄURE AG is expanding its dry ice product portfolio with the electric ASCO Active Dry Ice Saw AAS. The world’s first mass-produced active dry ice saw has been specially designed for cutting dry ice blocks. With a capacity of up to 600 discs per hour, it is suitable for operation in conjunction with several dry ice production machines. This enables dry ice producers to significantly increase their production capacity.

The ASCO Active Dry Ice Saw – AAS cuts dry ice blocks up to 70 mm thick into two or three pieces. Depending on requirements, the Active Dry Ice Saw can be fitted with the optional double saw blades in just a few minutes. This makes it possible to produce smaller, non-standard, high-quality block sizes. Whilst the usual production cycle remains unchanged, block output doubles or triples. Block quality remains consistently high and no additional time is required.

The dry ice specialist offers absolute system reliability. This allows the ASCO Active Dry Ice Saw – AAS to be integrated into various production centres. For example, in combination with the ASCO dry ice machines BP420i, BP425i, the ASCO Reformer A700Ri, and the ASCO packaging machines AMP120 and APM140.

Marco Pellegrino, Managing Director of ASCO Kohlensäure AG, emphasises: “With the world’s first series-produced active dry ice saw, ASCO is underlining its ambition to be one of the market leaders in dry ice production. With our product portfolio, we can meet our customers’ needs and are constantly working to optimise it. We have succeeded in doing this with the innovative active dry ice saw,” says Pellegrino.
