ASCO makes noise reduction standard on dry ice pelletisers

ASCO Kohlensäure AG is constantly committed to maintaining the highest standards of occupational safety – including the measurable reduction of noise emissions. To ensure an optimal working environment, specially developed insulation and enclosures are now used as standard on the “ASCO P75i dry ice pelletiser” and the “BP420i & BP425i dry ice machines”.

Low noise levels play a crucial role in occupational safety. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), prolonged exposure to noise can lead to hearing damage and increase the risk of accidents in the workplace. Dry ice producers who ensure a low-noise working environment not only help protect staff health but also boost concentration and productivity. That is why reducing noise emissions is an essential part of a holistic workplace safety strategy – one that is often underestimated.

To counteract this, ASCO Kohlensäure AG has made the best possible noise reduction a standard feature. This applies first and foremost to the ‘Dry Ice Pelletiser P75i’ (750 kg/h, dry ice pellets in various sizes) and the ‘Dry Ice Machines BP420i and BP425i’ (240–400 kg/h, automatic switching between blocks or pellets possible). They are now supplied as standard with a low noise level of <79 dB(A). This is roughly equivalent to the noise of a vacuum cleaner at a normal distance.
