ASCO offers innovative dry ice technologies on a flexible rental basis

ASCO Kohlensäure AG has been providing bespoke solutions for dry ice production worldwide for decades. The CO₂ specialist has now successfully launched “ASCO CAREFREE”, a completely new range of rental solutions for dry ice production technologies. These are made possible by state-of-the-art “ASCO i-Series Technology”, which even offers pay-per-use options. Dry ice, recently dubbed “white gold”, is currently the talk of the town, as it guarantees an unbroken cold chain down to -79°Celsius for the global shipment of COVID-19 vaccines.

COVID-19 pandemic creates challenges
The requirements of dry ice producers in general, and particularly those of pharmaceutical and logistics companies since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, are clear. The biggest challenge is producing and packaging large quantities of dry ice within a very short timeframe. To achieve this, the dry ice must be fresh and of high quality to ensure optimal cooling effects for as long as possible. However, when companies rely on delivered dry ice, they have little control over quantity and quality, as dry ice sublimates through a natural process. If suppliers pre-produce and deliver the dry ice, this means that the dry ice loses quantity and quality simply due to the time factor.
