Independent CO2 production with ASCO in Bangladesh

Particularly in developing and emerging economies, a continuous supply of CO₂ cannot always be guaranteed. To avoid costly production downtime, the Bengali company has decided to produce the required CO₂ on-site using an ASCO CO_₂ plant, thereby further strengthening its competitive advantage. Thanks to this profitable investment, 1,000 kg of liquid CO₂ per hour can be produced on the company’s premises in future. With a purity of up to 99.998%, the in-house produced CO₂ even exceeds the required ISBT quality guidelines and thus fully complies with global food and beverage standards.

The fully automatic ASCO CO₂ plant is based on the latest technologies and contains a low-concentration amine solution to extract high-quality, gaseous CO₂ from the flue gas produced by the combustion of fossil fuels. What makes this case special is that it involves a custom-designed hybrid plant capable of recovering CO₂ at any time from the existing flue gas generated daily during food and beverage production – doing so in an energy-efficient manner and, above all, at significantly lower production costs. Thanks to this CO₂ flue gas recovery, the company emits significantly less CO₂ into the atmosphere, thereby reducing its environmental footprint and consequently making a valuable contribution to environmental sustainability.

The new plant will be commissioned by the customer and ASCO engineers in Bangladesh later this year.
