Infra Mexico produces dry ice using the ASCO BP420i

Infra Mexico, based in Mexico City, is one of the largest gas companies in Mexico. As it expands its dry ice operations, Infra Mexico is relying on the dry ice technology provided by ASCO KOHLENSÄURE AG and is investing in the BP420i.

In addition to a wide range of gases, the group supplies dry ice to major industrial customers. Demand is particularly high in the logistics sector of the food industry and in medical applications.

Thanks to the state-of-the-art ASCO BP420i automatic dry ice machine, it is possible to produce various sizes. It produces ten different block thicknesses and two different pellet sizes at the touch of a button. The tools for producing the various dry ice sizes do not need to be changed manually; instead, they are already integrated into the machine and controlled via a touch screen. Production capacity is 240–400 kg/h, depending on block and pellet size.

Carlos Flores, Operations Manager at Barrientos Suc. Infra Mexico, appreciates the flexibility offered by the ASCO BP420i: “The different pellet sizes we can produce at the touch of a button allow us to adapt better to a wide range of applications. Thanks to our flexible in-house production, we are also significantly reducing dry ice loss through sublimation.”
