The new ASCOJET 1208 – dry ice blasting made easy

With the launch of the ASCOJET 1208, the Swiss company ASCO KOHLENSÄURE AG has developed a compact and easy-to-use dry ice blasting machine that is particularly well suited for industrial applications.

The ASCOJET 1208 features a new, modern frame design and intuitive pictograms.  Weighing just 48.5 kg, the unit can be easily manoeuvred to any location on two large, fixed rear wheels and two lockable small front wheels.  The housing and frame are made of robust stainless steel. The newly integrated earthing roller and the protective grille integrated into the dry ice container guarantee even safer handling during dry ice blasting. The consumption settings for the average dry ice volume and the blasting pressure can be conveniently adjusted by hand.

ASCO Managing Director Marco Pellegrino is impressed by the new ASCO blasting unit and explains: “This powerful machine stands out in particular for its lightness. Thanks to its compact design, the ASCOJET 1208 is also suitable for more delicate cleaning tasks. As dry ice blasting is a corrosion-free and non-abrasive process, even sensitive surfaces can be cleaned without any problems. The combination of high
cleaning performance and relatively low compressed air consumption is an added bonus.”

ASCO dry ice blasting technology has been used successfully for decades across a wide range of industries. Moulds, tools, machines, etc. can be cleaned on-site using ASCO dry ice blasting machines.  Dismantling is generally not required – this ensures short downtime and increased productivity in the workplace. “At ASCO, we are constantly striving to optimise our range of dry ice blasting machines for our customers. This enables us to offer the right blasting machine for absolutely every application. The launch of the ASCOJET 1208 is a further step towards completing our range,” concludes Pellegrino.
