ASCO Dry Ice Reformer R70i

The ASCO Dry Ice Reformer R70i was developed to produce dry ice blocks in various sizes by compressing dry ice pellets. Whether in combination with an existing or a new dry ice pelletizer: the ASCO Dry Ice Reformer R70i is an excellent, highly efficient tool for supplementing the dry ice pellet business with dry ice blocks. 

The compact machine is powered by a special, powerful hydraulic unit and started at the touch of a button. All functions are controlled by a Siemens PLC. A Siemens touch screen provides a clear overview and easy operation, while comprehensive monitoring facilitates maintenance and service planning. With the integrated production volume control, the number of blocks to be produced or the weight can be defined and monitored.

Minimum breakage rate

The R70i compactor efficiently compresses dry ice pellets into compact blocks. Thanks to optimised software and precisely calibrated mechanics, the system achieves an exceptionally low breakage rate of less than 0.5% – ensuring high product quality, less waste and maximum operational efficiency.

Integrated block density control and level monitoring

If the amount of dry ice pellets in the hopper falls below the required level, the machine automatically switches to standby mode until the correct level is restored.

Various block dimensions

Produces dry ice blocks in various thicknesses. The built-in production volume control allows the number of blocks to be produced or their thickness to be set and monitored.

Intuitive controls

Intuitive PLC control with a touchscreen for maximum user-friendliness.
