How does Recovery Work?

ASCO flue gas recovery systems operate fully automatically and continuously. First, the flue gases are cooled and cleaned of water-soluble impurities, such as sulphur dioxide. The gases then flow through the absorption column, where the special absorbent ASCOSORB-RS chemically binds the CO₂. In the stripping column, the CO₂ is released again, dried, compressed and made available for industrial use. This produces high-purity CO₂, which can be utilised in a way that makes sense both economically and ecologically.
