Crystal Dry Ice Factory focuses exclusively on dry ice distribution in Qatar at the moment. As a dry ice supplier, we serve to the airline, logistics companies, medical companies, restaurants and cafes.
How much dry ice do you produce per week? Do you produce more pellets or blocks?
We currently produce around 6 tons of dry ice slices and 1 tons of dry ice pellets per week.
What are your plans for the coming months/year in regards to the production of dry ice?
We cannot present our whole plan but we are looking forward to benefit from the dry ice demand in future as the current pandemic state shoots up the dry ice relevance in cold chain logistics.
In which industries are your main customers for dry ice blasting?
The dry ice blasting cleaning method in the food sector has many advantages compared to conventional cleaning methods. This is for sure one of our main dry ice consumptions. We have also experienced the blasting requirement in the plastic companies as they need precision and cleaning without residues as well.
How far does Crystal Dry Ice Factory supply dry ice to ensure a safe and efficient distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine?
Unfortunately, the vaccine distribution in Qatar is directly made by the government ministry but we have offered our support to fight against covid-19 through our dry ice supply when they need it.
What plans do you have in regards to the supply of dry ice to the World Cup of Football taking place in 2022 in Qatar?
The football world cup hosting is every country’s pride and we are delighted to see that Qatar got opportunity in 2022. It is expected that dry ice may be needed in the inauguration ceremony and in victory celebrations. Thus we focus on the presentation and the opportunity of dry ice blasting in the event. There is unique spot cooling technique to cool down the stadium interior, thus the ice or dry ice may not be needed inside the stadium.
Qatar is known as a hot country: is dry ice used for fisheries, outdoor-picnic etc?
Yes, we do! Here dry ice is used for cooling while transporting the goods especially ice creams, fish, meat and poultry.
Do hotels use dry ice to present their specialties for their buffet o is dry ice used more for catering and for food transportation?
Yes, hotels and catering companies use our dry ice for the food presentation most of the time, but they use it for the transportation too.
Do you have any specific application for dry ice available in Qatar?
Dry ice is used in motorsports industry in Qatar to have cold air intake for the engine performance. Other countries started to use it for this purpose, too. The locals in Qatar go crazy for motorsports, thus the dry ice demand there is bigger compared to other countries.
