Swiss-based ASCO Carbon Dioxide Ltd, a global provider of complete CO2 and dry ice solutions, presents their “ASCO Refilling System ARS”. The new system solution for dosing dry ice pellets from large containers into smaller packaging units is already being used by customers.

ASCO has talked with N.G. Mathan, Manager of Crystal Dry Ice Factory in Doha/Qatar. Crystal Dry Ice Factory is manufacturing and distributing high quality food grade dry ice to the Qatar market. As its newest service, Crystal Dry Ice also offers dry ice blasting services with the ASCOJET 1708. The company more than just a dry ice supplier for its customers. As a result, the company is very service oriented and is proud of its satisfied customer base.

ASCO has talked to Deon Roux, CEO and Business Owner of Dry Ice International Company in South Africa. The company has been the leading dry ice supplier since 1994 in South Africa. ASCO has recently supplied a Dry Ice Pelletizer P28i to this customer and we are interested to learn more about the company, its business field and the use of dry ice in South Africa in general.

ASCOs customer The Modern Acetylene & Oxygen Company Ltd. in Sudan has recently bought two ASCO Dry Ice Pelletizers P28i to supply high quality dry ice to their local market. The Sudanese company and ASCO have been maintaining a pleasant collaboration and long business relationship for many years. Their factory includes not only a dry ice production but they also operate three ASCO CO2 Production Plants to supply CO2 to the African beverage industry.

At the end of 2021, 336 solar panels were installed on the roof of the ASCO production site in Eschlikon (Switzerland) for the generation of green electricity through solar radiation. The expected annual yield of the solar system has been calculated at 111'300 kWh.

Gas company BUSE is a leading supplier in both the Industrial and Specialty Gas Markets. BUSE in the United Kingdom approached ASCO Partner,Ecoblast Supplies Ltd (ESL), to install a complex set up to expand their dry ice production up to 280 kg per hour.

ASCO talked to Mr Nicolas Paulovits of the company Novogas Limited in Nigeria. Novogas is the leading producer of food grade CO2 gas in Nigeria and West Africa. The Nigerian Gas Company works with ASCO equipment and has recently received a new ASCO Dry Ice Pelletizer P28i.

Since 2016 light metal foundry Bad Langensalza GmbH in Germany is cleaning their casting molds on a daily basis with the dry ice blasting unit ASCOJET 1701. The dry ice pellets required for blasting are produced on site by the company itself using an ASCO Dry Ice Pelletizer A120P. Thus, LGL light metal foundry in Bad Langensalza is one of the first customers to use a rental pelletizer (ASCO Carefree) in the factory.

The Swiss ASCO CARBON DIOXIDE LTD now simplifies the fast and precisely dosed filling of dry ice pellets into containers and shipping boxes. Companies that rely on the ASCO Filling System for Dry Ice Pellets are mainly from the pharmaceutical, food and logistics industries.

ASCO talked to Dipl.-Ing. Dr. mont. Stephan Hasse, the publisher and editor of the international foundry lexicon and founder of Foundry Technologies & Engineering (FT&E) GmbH. Mr Hasse has been in the foundry industry for 30 years.
