Regionalwerke Baden: "The pilot project opens the door for Swiss bioenergy with Carbon Capture ("BECCUS")
ASCO interviewed Philippe Lehmann, managing director of CO2 Energie AG and Head of Department at Regionalwerke AG Baden. As a joint venture, they have realised Carbon Capture for a biogas plant for the first time in Switzerland. At the Nesselnbach site, in addition to biomethane, CO2 is now also produced for various applications such as the beverage industry.
CarbAlpin: "We see big growth potential in Food E-Commerce"
Johannes Daum is head of production and sales at CarbAlpin, a well-known player on the Italian CO₂ market. CarbAlpin was founded with the aim of simplified access to fresh dry ice for customers from South Tyrol and Trentino. In addition to the dry ice business, they also specialize in the filling of technical- and food gas. CarbAlpin's main customers include around 130 wineries as well as companies in the refrigerated logistics, food and pharmaceutical industries.
ASCO quality management certified according to ISO standard for another 3 years
ASCO Carbon Dioxide Ltd. was successfully recertified according to DIN ISO 9001:2015 by the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems (SQS) at the beginning of 2023. The new certificate is valid until 30 April 2026. Quality management has been a tradition for years at the CO2 specialist at its main site in Romanshorn (Switzerland).

ASCO & Landmark Power Holdings: Pioneering Carbon Capture & Utilization ("CCU") project nears completion
The UK's first high efficiency power plant connected with ASCO carbon capturing equipment is currently under construction in Rhodesia, Worksop, in Nottinghamshire. ASCO Carbon Dioxide is supplying the CO₂ recovery and processing equipment, which will capture and utilize four tons of liquid CO₂ per hour ("Carbon Capture & Utilization" or “CCU”).
