The history of dry ice pelletizers at ASCO began in the 1980s with the C500. At that time, the company laid the foundation for converting CO₂ into handy dry ice pellets—a small but groundbreaking step that laid the foundation for all future developments. Even at this early stage, it was clear that technical expertise, a pioneering spirit, and close cooperation with customers from a wide range of industries were the keys to successful solutions.
New models and enhancements followed in the years that followed. In addition to pelletizers, block machines, reformers, and other systems were developed, underscoring the goal of establishing ASCO as a full-range supplier in the field of dry ice technology. Every machine, every project, and every customer inquiry provided valuable experience that was continuously incorporated into further development. Customers from the food industry, the chemical industry, research, and many other sectors used the systems for a wide variety of applications—from cooling and transport to industrial processes and special applications in research and technology.
Today, the EVO series represents the result of these decades of experience. It combines state-of-the-art technology, digital networking, and high user-friendliness, demonstrating how ASCO has continuously adapted its systems to the needs of its customers. While the EVO series offers far more possibilities than the original C500, the experience gained from over 50 years of continuous development still flows into every machine.
