Mr Brisset, “Stallergenes Greer” is a global company. Could you give us a brief overview of the company and explain what its main business is
“Stallergenes Greer” is a fully integrated global biopharmaceutical company specializing in the research, diagnosis and treatment of respiratory, food, and venom allergies through the development and commercialization of allergen immunotherapy (AIT) products and services.
Please tell us what your position at “Stallergenes Greer” is, what tasks it involves and how long you have been with the company.
I am the source material production manager at “Stallergenes Greer” for almost two years and I have been with the company for 6.5 years.
In my position, I manage the production of mites and pollen from culture and harvest to processed source material ready to be used in pharmaceutical drug substance. I also have the responsibility for the Stallergenes’ “Amilly” facility site.
What do you need the dry ice for at “Stallergenes Greer” and how much do you produce approximately per week?
We need dry ice during the harvest of pollen in order to maintain the quality of pollen as soon as it is collected in fields. We produce approximately 3 tons per week between April and July.
Why did you decide on the ASCO “Carefree” model, our rental solution for Dry Ice Pelletizers?
I chose the rental solution because it offers a global solution of preventive and corrective maintenance. It ensures that we have recent equipment on site without a large CAPEX expense. The new equipment we received at the beginning of 2024 allows us to double our production capacity and provides important flexibility to our harvest team.
What are your goals for the future?
Our goals are to meet patients’ needs in terms of quality and supply. To reach this goal, we need a high quality level in our facilities. ASCO contributes to this objective.
